this sweet owl is my newest pattern, and our september stitch club project!
i've started stitching a little, and here's what i've got so far:

i had satin stitch in mind when i made this one, and i really like the smooth, strong texture that it creates.Read More
for these blocks of color, i'm using (padded) satin stitch, and all 6 strands.

THANK YOU for such a great response to my christmas in july event!! i'm so happy that you love the new holiday kit, and i'm happy to see lots of love for the kits of christmas past. if you weren't able to snag one last week, don't worry... i'll have some available again in time for the holiday season.Read More

i took a trip by myself this past weekend! i haven't done that since... maybe forever? i left my kids and husband behind and enjoyed a long weekend in austin, my childhood home sweet home. it was wonderful to be back in the TX hill country again, and the visit was short but so sweet.Read More
i used padded satin stitch for these stars on Galaxy Girl's bodice, and i wanted to share a quickie tutorial for it.Read More
💘share . the . love 💘
I'm not really a big Valentine's Day fan BUT I am a huge fan of showing love and appreciation -- any day, every day.Read More
raise your hand if you've started a year-long stitching (or crafting) project!
